How long will my Le Tress Chic hair last?
Le Tress Chic pre-bonded extensions should have an average life of anywhere from 3 to 4 months with NO MAINTENANCE REQUIRED. Where as the I-Tip hair will last 6 - 8 months with MAINTENANCE REQUIRED every 8 - 12 weeks. The lifespan of the weft can vary from 10 - 15 months depending on your usage and how they are maintained.
Can I straighten or curl Le Tress Chic hair? Absolutely! In fact you can treat them just like you would your own hair! Just remember, like your own hair, human hair extensions are not indestructible. So treat them with care and respect! Using a heat protector spray will help too! And be sure to avoid applying heat directly to the bonds!
What is the difference between the I-tip and flat tip bonds? Our I-tip hair is used with only micro-links, beads or tubes. This method is a "cold fusion" process because it involves no heat to install and easy removal. Pre-bonded flat tip uses a fusion wand(heat) or ultrasonic machine to install.
How many packs of pre-bonded/I-tip hair do I need? A typical full head is 125 strands - or 5 packs. Some people only need 100 strands (4 packs) and some prefer 150 (6 packs) for the thickest and most exotic look!
Can I dye, perm or highlight Le Tress Chic hair? Yes you can do anything with human hair extension that you can do to your natural hair. Keep in mind that should be done by a professional hair stylist.
Do I have to use special products for my hair extensions? It is recommended that you use SULFATE FREE shampoo. Sulfate free shampoo keeps your hair stronger, healthier and won't strip your color.
How do I know which color is right for me? This can be a tricky one, especially because the tone you get on a computer screen is not always entirely accurate. Just to play it extra safe, what we suggest is that you send us a sample or a photo of your hair and we will advise for the best match. Please refer to the RETURN POLICY for further details.
Do I have to be a licensed stylist to purchase Le Tress Chic hair? No you do not need to be licensed to order our hair but it must be installed by a fully licensed beautician or certified hair extension specialist.
